Hi there! Thanks so much for coming to visit Rachel Lusky Photography online. Here’s some stuff about me!
The professional: I am an on-location wedding and portrait photographer that loves to work with natural light but isn’t afraid to break out the cool lighting at your reception! Whether it be your wedding day or capturing the essence of your family in your home on location, my goal is for you to come away with a set many images that captures that moment in time perfectly with a style that is artistic and romantic, fresh and fun, documentary with a bit of tradition. Knowing that your wedding day will be one of the most important days of your life, I make it my job to work to the best of my ability to be flexible; by your side when you need me, yet standing back when you don’t and all the while keeping the memories clicking! And if it’s a lifestyle shoot we’re scheduling, we will have so much fun with a relaxed timeline and hanging out at your home or other location to get photos that are the essence of you! When I shoot, I love it to be fresh and fun, while capturing the emotion and feeling in a safe space created for you to be your best.
The real: I love Erie and have lived here for over 28 years, but I was born in England! Married for eight years, I have two adorable scrumptious daughters named Chloe and Hannah who have changed my life. My favorite animals are cats, and I have two – if you come to my house for a consult, they’ll probably get right in your face while we chat . My guilty pleasures are anything chocolate, The Twilight Saga, Thursday night TV (I seriously watch almost every show) and watching Will and Grace & Everybody Loves Raymond reruns. I pretty much always have glasses on (except for in that picture to the left….) Our idea of a night out is out to dinner and home by 7pm, and playing nerdy board games with our friends. Random fact: I’ve never been to Florida OR California, but I have been to Italy, England and Hawaii. I know, what!?
The boring: I studied graphic design and photography at Mercyhurst College, graduating in 2004, and then got married 3 weeks later and took a job at an advertising agency! I worked full-time as an Art Director at this agency for five years, until I left and become the proud owner of my own business full-time. I have been shooting weddings, portraits and families professionally since 2008. I also sing at my church, Grace, where my husband is a pastor.
You can use the links above to view galleries of my work. I’ll work with you on one-time projects, recurring services, weddings or photography sessions. Whatever your need, please contact me! You can also view my blog to see what I’m working on right now.
